A little bit about me.
Welcome to my Blog!
A little bit about me
My name is Kimasia and I am an aspiring educator and an entrepreneur. I have been vegan for a little bit over a year now, and I absolutely love turning "non-vegan foods" into vegan meals. I also am a creatress: I sing, dance, cook, paint, sculpt, play 5 instruments, write, and sew. I also want to become a botanist, and I am a plant mama :). I have around 10+ plants right now and my plant family is continuously growing.
My experiences with technology
Technology has been in my life since I was a little kid. I grew up playing Starfall in kindergarten as well as club penguin. Since then, technology has been a major part of my life, especially in educational settings. One prime example of this would be the requirement of "Second Life" for my economics class. Second Life is a simulation role-playing based game where you play your own customized sim and accomplish daily tasks relating to economics for homework.
My personal learning networks
When it comes to my personal learning networks, I tend to regularly use social media such as Instagram to educate myself on topics ranging from spirituality and music. I have developed my own personal learning network at the Frenchtown farmers market where my main focus is spirituality. In terms of creativity, I created a personal learning network within my friend group where we feed into each other's creative ideas, and we learn new skills from one another. Yet one major learning resource that has been extremely helpful would be Youtube! I absolutely love to learn constantly and I love finding YouTubers with similar interests as me so that I can find link-minded individuals within their Youtube communities!
Hi Kimasia! I also have a couple of plants at home and they're growing fast. My favorite is neon pothos!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your experiences with technology. All is great! And I should admit that those quotes just hıt different.
Hi there Kimasia! Your blog is structured so beautifully! I seriously cannot get enough of the pink and cursive aesthetic that you have created. I love meeting a fellow plant lover, as I have recently become sort of a "plant-mother" myself! I find your experiences growing up with technology incredibly relatable as I also played computer games such as Club Penguin and Second Life (I feel like most people from our generation did haha). I love the way in which you describe the ways you utilize social media and YouTube as a way to education yourself, as I find myself trying to do the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI really look forward to your future blog posts, and cannot wait to hear the ways you are going to use technology in this class :).
