My experiences as a distance learner truly took place during the pandemic. I like the accessibility of online learning because it's easy to maneuver and incorporate it into your daily life. However, I dislike the workload classes that would usually be hands-on are providing, being that there are still barriers when it comes to online learning. I feel that the incorporation of activities like games or songs would be beneficial than just book work because there are many different types of learners and I feel that online learning truly just caters to a small group.
Open educational resources are educational resources that are easily accessible to the community. Open educational resources are freely accessible, licensed for public use and can be things such as media or other digital/physical assets that are beneficial for learning and teaching. Some examples of open educational resources are online tutorials, steaming videos, and open textbooks. One example of an open educational resource would be Lumen Learning, Lumen provides a plethora of courses ranging in price with discounted deals for who are in schooling; Lumen even provides a quiz to have personalized courses geared towards your own personal learning needs.
I really enjoyed the PowerPoint assignments, PowerPoint is my favorite Microsoft software. I feel that the work was very versatile and adaptable. I feel like ways to make the assignments improve a bit would be more specific work that requires data input but not a lot. I also feel that incorporating things that aren't super well known within PowerPoint would be a nice way to advance our knowledge. I am a computer that doesn't allow screenshotting :(
